Hello! Let me introduce myself..... My name is Kirstin and I am a stay at home mom who used to work as a chemist. I created this blog to document all of my sewing and crafting experiments. Because I taught myself to sew, I don't always follow the sewing "rules". Some of my favorite projects were ones where I had no idea what I was doing so I had to figure it out as I went along. Of course mistakes were made and my seam ripper got a workout, but I think this is the best way to learn! I am also a thrifty girl who loves the challenge of upcycling something old and worn into something beautiful or useful.

I live near St. Louis, MO with my husband and two daughters, JuJu (5) and Imp (2).  When I am not busy chasing the girls around, you will find me sewing, crafting, gardening, decorating, baking and walking in the park.

Some random tidbits about me:  My favorite color is red.  I am a child of the '80's.  My comfort food is rye bread with mayonnaise.  I love iced tea, unsweetened with a slice of lemon. I would much rather spend an afternoon roaming through craft and fabric stores than shopping for clothes at the mall. And I've had a pet snake since I was 19 years old.
